To access this tool, click the Rename a Street button. The following window will appear:
To rename a street, complete the steps below:
Select a street number from the list. For a faster search, type in the beginning of the street number and the list box will scroll to streets that are similar. Then, you must select the street number from the list.
Once you select the street number, you will see the street name in the long text box beneath the list.
Select a new name for the street from the “New Street Name” pull down list. You can select a new facility as well, but if you do, the street name in your “New Street Name” pull down will be reset.
If you do not want to update the street names on locked intersections, you can unmark the check box. Intersections are locked in the Intersection Network in the Street module. These locks prevent the GIS Toolkit from modifying the intersection configuration. By default, intersections are unlocked.
Click the Add button to add the street to the list of streets to be renamed. Once you have added all of the streets to be renamed to the bottom grid, can click the Update button. You will receive a prompt informing you when the update is complete.
