Creating a Request Report with a Map

Work request maps may be created directly from the map after the View Request Locations command is used.  For information on loading requests into the map, see Viewing Customer Complaint Locations in the Map.

When the View Request Locations command is finished processing, it automatically makes this tool active .  To create work request reports with the map, complete the steps below:

  1. Right click on the request locations shown in the map. The following dialog will appear:

  2. When you select View Work Request Report from the menu, a list of all requests at the point you clicked will be displayed with their request number and problem.

  3. Select the request for which you want to create a report and the system will display the report.  You will briefly see a dialog identifying that it is Updating Active X Links.

    Update Active X

This process retrieves the image of your current display for printing on the map.  The request report will always display exactly what is in your current view display when you clicked on the View Work Request Report menu.

  4. Before selecting to view the work request report, you may want to make sure it will be displayed clearly.  To do this, you can zoom in and turn on and off themes or you can label the assets.
  5. If you are using the default map report that is provided with Lucity GIS, the first page of the report contains tabular data including the category, problem, customer, received date, and status.   The second page will contain the map and a header identifying the request.
