In order to properly maintain updates between the geodatabase and the Lucity databases, you must create a database/ArcSDE user that Lucity will use in the integration. By default we typically define this user as "GBA_user" with the standard password, but you can define a different user if you prefer. This user must be set up in the database configuration in the desktop so that the desktop knows which user to use when connecting to the database.
Once you decide which user you will use, you will need to follow standard ESRI procedures to add this user to your database and properly assign the permissions in the database and through ArcCatalog. The procedures for adding users is not described in this manual; please refer to your ArcSDE user's guides for information.
Make sure that you give the Lucity user update privileges to all feature classes that are integrated with Lucity so that updates may be properly made from Lucity to your geodatabase. In addition, you must also assign Update, Insert, and Delete permissions for this user to the GBAARCED table directly through the database administration utility for your database. Do not use ArcCatalog to assign these Update, Insert, and Delete permissions for the GBAARCED table.
