Lucity's PM/Work Template module streamlines work management by enabling users to create Work Orders using templates and scheduled preventative maintenance tasks (PMs).
Templates help users create Work Orders quickly for regular or standard jobs.
A PM preconfigures the Work Order and sets the schedule on which it is generated.
PM-Related Fields
PM Trigger

PM/Work Templates Grid
The PM/Work Templates grid lists all PM/Work Templates that are related to the Work Order. Typically, the system automatically populates this grid with the PM that generated the work or the Template used to create the Work Order; however, users can also manually link a Work Order to a PM.
In the Work Orders module, select the Work Order that you would like to associate with a PM.
In the Work Order's PM/Work Templates grid, click Attach Existing . A pop-up similar to the following appears with a list of PM records available for linking to the Work Order:
Only PMs that have a Status of Awaiting Work Order Generation and share the same Category and Assets as the current Work Order will be available.
The same PM cannot be assigned to multiple Work Orders.
Select a PM from the list and click Select. The system adds the record to the Work Order's PM/Work Templates grid.
An associated PM will automatically be marked as "closed" when the associated Work Order is closed.
You will not be able to delete the Work Order if there is an associated PM.
If you attach a PM to a Work Order the PM to reset to the future so as to not duplicate work.
In the Work Orders module, select the Work Order on which you would like to detach a PM/Template.
In the Work Order's PM/Work Templates grid, select and PM record.
Click Detach Existing . A pop-up appears asking you to confirm deleted the selected PM record from this Work Order.
*Note: This action will not delete the PM record from the PM/Templates module but simply remove it from this Work Order's PM/Templates grid.
Click Yes. The selected PM is removed from this Work Order's PM/Templates grid.
Once you disassociate a PM from a Work Order, that PM will no longer be updated or reset. You will have to go into the PM record and generate a new Work Order if you want the PM to be reset.
