The WaterDistribution program's PipeInventory module stores location, mapping, and inspection information for the pipes in an agency's clean-water system.
Common Tasks
To access this module, select Water > Water Distribution > Pipes > Pipes.
In the (Water, Raw Water or Recycled Water) Pipes module, click the button.
Create a Pipe Number to uniquely identify the record (required).
Select the type of asset found on the from end in the From End Type field. Then, use the From End pick-list to choose the specific asset found at the from end.
Select the type of asset found on the to end in the To End Type field. Then, use the To End pick-list to choose the specific asset found at the to end.
Enter the pipe's Diameter, Material, and Length.
Complete other fields as desired.
Click the button to save the record. The new record appears in the grid.
Open the (Water, Raw Water, Recycled Water) Pipes module.
Click the button to expand the Pipe record for which you want to create an inspection.
Select the Pressure Pipe Inspection grid and click the button. A new record appears using the selected record's Pipe Number.

Method 2: From the Pipe Inspection Module
Open the (Water, Raw Water, Recycled Water) Pipes > Pressure Pipe Inspection module.
Click the button. A new record appears.
Enter or select the Pipe Number for the inspected Pipe (required).

Enter the Inspect Date (required).
The combination of Alt ID and Inspect Date must form a unique combination.
Complete other fields as desired.
Check the Maintenance Requested or Needs Repair field to automatically create a Request or Work Order for the pipe.
Click the button to save the record. The new Inspection record appears in the grid.
In the (Water, Raw Water or Recycled Water) Pipes module, click the button.

Open the (Water, Raw Water, Recycled Water) Pipes > Pressure Pipe Inspection module.
Click the button. A new record appears.
Enter or select the Pipe Number for the inspected Pipe (required).

Enter the Inspect Date (required).

Activates the Street Name Validation function. When active, any street name a user enters into the Address fields is checked against the Street Name List. If the name entered does not match a street in the list, the user cannot save the record.
