The Affected PMs grid is used for tightly linked PMs and tightly linked group PMs. This grid is available if the Tightly Linked PM checkbox in the header is marked. It will be available for tightly linked group PMs if both the Tightly Linked PM and Grouped PM checkboxes are marked. When this grid is enabled, the PM Schedules grid will be unavailable. Additionally, when the Grouped PM checkbox is marked, the Assets and Scheduling tabs will not be available for use.
Note: When adding items to the Affected PMs grid, pay special attention to the items highlighted in the Assets grid. Any records added to this grid will be associated with the items highlighted in the Assets grid. Similarly, in order to view lists of records in this grid, you will need to highlight the corresponding asset(s) in the Assets grid.
Note: Tightly linked PMs are a series of two or more related PMs. Tightly linked PMs are not based on time (like a Scheduled PM), but instead are based on how often the initial Scheduled PM is generated. In other words, tightly linked PM scheduling is based on the completion of other PMs, rather than scheduling based on the completion of the previous work order for the current PM. When a Tightly Linked PM is generated along with a Scheduled PM, both PMs will be associated with a single work order.
Note: A standard PM may not be converted to a Tightly Linked PM or vice versa.
