Costs per Pipe Diameter

The Cost per Pipe Diameter tab stores rehabilitation costs related to a pipe's diameter. If a pipe meets the established diameter criteria, the system will calculate rehab costs using these values, instead of the initial Default Task Cost defined in the parent Rehab Work Tasks and Costs record.

A sample of the grid appears below. Sort records in the grid by clicking on the headings.  An up or down arrow (highlighted in orange below) indicates whether data appear in ascending or descending order.

How To Add a Cost per Pipe Diameter Record

  1. Right-click in the grid and select Add Record. The following window appears:

    Diameter Costs

  2. Enter the pipe Diameter in inches (required).
  3. Record the cost (per foot) to perform the specified rehab task for each of these pipe classifications (for pipes up to 10 feet deep):
  4. For pipes at a depth greater than 10 feet, use the field provided to record the cost per vertical foot to perform the rehab task in this record. The model will use the pipe's average depth to calculate this cost.
  5. Save and close the window.
