The Attributes tab in the Water Flushing History module tracks basic information about the flushing activity, such as who performed the flush, the date it occurred, and additional flushing dates. In addition, this tab also contains user-defined fields that can be customized. The Zone, Reach, Type, and Reason fields are automatically copied from the Flushing Route record.
Field Name |
Special Function |
Flushed By |
Stores the name of the person that performed the flush. |
Zone |
Indicates the pressure zone in which this Flushing Route is located. The selected zone has an effect on the valves, hydrants, and pipes a user may select in the Hydrants tab. There, the system looks for a matching pressure zone in the corresponding Valve, Hydrant, and Pipe Inventory records. Only Inventory records located in the same pressure zone are available for selection. Note: This field is automatically completed using data from the Flushing Route record. |
Total Volume |
Displays the amount of water discharged during the flush. Automatically calculated as the sum of the Discharge Volume found on each Hydrant record on the Hydrants tab and any additional Discharge Volumes from the Additional Flushing Dates grid. |
Total Pipe Length |
States the sum length of all flushed pipe. Automatically calculated as the sum of the Length fields for all water pipes in the Pipes Cleaned grid on the Hydrants tab. Pipes are only included in this calculation when the Date Flushed field is filled out on the hydrant record the pipe is related to. |
Last Date Flushed |
Indicates the date of the most recent flushing. This date is automatically populated using the most recent Date Flushed field on a Hydrant record on the Hydrants tab or the most recent Date Flushed field from a record in the Additional Flushing Dates grid. |
Additional Flushing Dates Grid
The Attributes tab also enables users to record any additional dates on which the route was flushed.
A sample of the grid appears below. Sort records in the grid by clicking on the headings. An up or down arrow (highlighted in orange below) indicates whether data appear in ascending or descending order.
