Menu and Favorites Toolbars

The menu helps users navigate through the Lucity programs and modules. Each of the menu items contain a series of drop-down menus to simplify module selection. After logging in to the Lucity suite, the following menu bar appears at the top of the screen:

Although the menu contains all the capabilities and programs of the Lucity suite, only those purchased will be accessible. If a user clicks on a program that the agency has not purchased, a drop-down menu will appear; however, the modules names will be gray.

There are two ways to access the items on the menu bar:

Use the mouse to click on an program and navigate to an underlying module.
Or
Press the Alt key. The menu will be selected and a letter in each menu item will have an underlined letter.
Press the underlined letter. The corresponding menu will be selected and the items in that menu will have underlined letters.
Press another underlined letter, that menu or module will be selected, etc....
Using this method users can also navigate using the arrow keys
Note: To exit the Lucity suite, select System > Exit or press Alt + F4.

The toolbar is designed with a button for each module within a Lucity Program. Each button has an icon that represents the related module. Hover the mouse over the button to make the module name appear.

Users can view view multiple toolbars at one time and can customize each toolbar so only the buttons they use will appear on that toolbar.

Toolbar buttons that are "grayed out" are inaccessible and nothing will happen when clicked on. These "grayed out" buttons represent programs that the user already has opened, the agency does not own, or the user doesn't have permission to use.

In the menu click View and a drop-down menu appears with all of the toolbars.
Select the toolbars to display.
The selected toolbar will automatically appear at the top of the screen.
Once a toolbar is selected, a checkmark will appear next to it.
Repeat for all toolbars that should be displayed.

There are three ways to remove a toolbar from the main screen:

Click on View and click the selected toolbar to remove. The checkmark will disappear and the toolbar will no longer be on the main screen.
Drag the toolbar towards the center of the screen and click the X in the top right corner
Drag the toolbar towards the center of the screen, right click on the toolbar title, and select Hide.

Note: Saved toolbars are not supported for Citrix or Terminal Services hosted clients or anyone running Lucity Desktop install on Windows Server 2003.

Clicking on the bar at the far left end of the toolbar and dragging it to a new position.
If the toolbar is moved to away from the menu it will change to look like this:
To move it in this mode click the bar at the top and drag it to the new position.
Moving it close to the menu will automatically snap it back to the top of the screen.
