Volume and Costs Tab

The Volume and Costs tab provides several lists of fields that contain different volume measurements and credits the facility receives. These figures are totaled at the end of each column based on the operator found to the right of each field.

Several fields are calculated automatically:

Net Billable Flow

The amount of flow that can be billed over the year. Calculated as:

Water Meter Reading + Metered Effl Vol + Well Water Vol + Tank Discharge Vol + Hauled Water Vol + Metered Storm Vol + Calc Storm Vol + Metered Sanitary Vol - Non-Sewered Water - In-Process Credit - Evaporation Credit - Irrigation Credit = Net Billable Flow

Surcharge Value

The amount of flow to be used to calculate fees. Calculated as:

Net Billable Flow - Metered Process Flow - Metered Sanitary Credit - Calc Sanitary Credit - Metered Storm Credit - Calc Storm Credit - Non Process Flow + Process Flow Surcharge = Surcharge Value

Laboratory Test Fees

The amount spent on individual lab tests associated with this monitoring point for the billing cycle. This figure is calculated by adding the Inspection Fee values for all the records in the Tests grid on the Chemical Overage Costs and Test Fees tab.

Extra Chemical Load Fees

The sum of all charges for excess chemicals found at this monitoring point. This fee is calculated by adding all items in the Charge column on the Extra Chemical Load Fees grid on the Chemical Overage Costs and Test Fees tab.

Base Charge

The amount due based only on water usage and the agency's usage rate. This charge is calculated based the Water Meter Reading multiplied by the Testing Charge assigned to the VOL parameter in the Testing Parameter Setup module.

Users should modify the field properties to calculate the charge as: Water Meter Reading x Testing Charge.

Total Charges

The total of all charges found in this billing cycle. Calculated as:

Laboratory Test Fees + Extra Chemical + Basecharge = Total Charges
