Storm BMP Notifications

The Storm BMP Site module has a Notification feature that makes it easy to send email messages to the parties responsible for sites in the BMP program. This feature could be used to send contacts reminders about upcoming tests, notify them of due dates for maintenance logs, or advise them of necessary corrective actions.

FAQ

The email message is delivered to everyone in the Notification template's recipient list, as well as to the person whose email address appears in either the Contact Email or Owner Email field (depending on the Toolkit function used) for each Sewer BMP site in the current filterset.

BMP Site Notification emails are not triggered automatically. Instead, they are sent using the Send Contact Email Notification for Filterset or Send Owner Email Notification for Filterset functions found in the corresponding BMP Site Toolkit.

Note: The Contact Email or Owner Email fields on the Contacts tab MUST be filled out for a notification of that type to be sent.

Users create Notification templates in the General > Notification Setup module. Then, when a user implements the BMP Site toolkit functions, he or she selects which template to use.

How to Setup Notifications

Create an email template in the General > Notification Setup (Notification Setup, http://help.lucity.com/webhelp/v145/desktop/index.htm#22846.htm) module.

Note: The notification template must have these values:

After creating the Notification template, go to Storm > BMPs > Site.

Set up a filter to identify the BMP Site records to which to send the email.

On the Contacts tab, make sure the Contact Email and/or Owner Email field contains the contact's email address.

Select the

button on the toolbar. The following pop-up will appear:

Send Contact Email Notification for Filterset - Sends the notification to the primary Contacts for all sites in the filterset.
Send Owner Email Notification for Filterset - Sends the notification to the Owners of all sites in the filterset.

Click

. The following screen appears.

Click the Email Notif # button and select the Notification to send.

Note: Only templates with the Notification Module set to Storm BMP Site will appear in this list.

. The system sends the Notification via email.
