General 1 Tab

Th General tab stores basic information about the monitoring point and provides large text fields for notes. At the bottom of the tab is the Monitoring Point Testing Parameters grid, which lists testing parameters that apply to the monitoring point. The parameters displayed in this grid are based on records set up in the IPT Testing Parameters module.

A sample of the Monitoring Point Testing Parameters grid appears below. Sort records in the grid by clicking on the headings.  An up or down arrow (highlighted in orange below) indicates whether data appear in ascending or descending order.

• Right-click in the grid to add a record.
• Right-click on an existing record for options to View Record, Add Record, Edit Record, or Delete Record.
• Double-click on an existing record to open it.

How To Add a Test Parameter

1. Right-click in the grid and select Add Record. The following pop-up will appear:

   

2. Fill out the Parameter field (required).
   • The values that appear in this list come from the IPT Testing Parameters module.
   • Each value in this list can only be used once per monitoring point.
   • Certain other fields are completed automatically based on the Parameter record.
3. Save and close the record.
