General Tab

The General tab tracks basic information about the waste disposal. Fields at the top of the tab track the amount of waste disposed, the disposal fee, and sample measurements. A grid that links pumpouts to the Waste Disposal record appears at the bottom of the tab.

This grid enables users to link Pumpout records to the Waste Disposal record. A sample of the grid appears below. Sort records in the grid by clicking on the headings. An up or down arrow indicates whether data appear in ascending or descending order.

Right click in the grid and select Add Record. The following dialog will appear:
Fill out the Facility Number, Unit ID, and Action Date. These are required.
- The Hauler Number, and Vehicle Number is also required, but is filled out automatically when adding pump out records this way.
Fill out other desired fields.
Save and close the record.

Right - click in the Facility Pumpouts Associated to this Truck's Load grid.
Select Link non-linked Pumpouts for Vehicle. The following picklist will appear

Note: This list only displays pumpouts associated to the vehicle selected in the Vehicle Number field. It also only lists pumpout records that are NOT already associated to a waste disposal record.
Click on a pumpout record and click Select.
A record will be added to the grid.
Add as many records as apply.

Select the record to remove in the grid

Right - click on the record and select Remove Pumpout Link.

The records link will immediately be removed from the waste disposal record.

Field	Function
Waste Type	Specifies the type of waste being disposed.
Amount Collected	The sum of all Amount Pumped fields on the Pumpout records attached to this Waste Disposal record.
Disposal Fee	The fee for the Waste Disposal event. The fee is calculated automatically using the following formula: Disposal Fee = Amount Collected x Unit Disposal Fee
Unit Disposal Fee	The amount the receiving station charges to dispose of a specific unit (e.g., gallon, pound, etc.) of this kind of waste. Used to calculate the Disposal Fee. Administrators can streamline data entry by establishing Disposal Fees for different Waste Types in the Disposal Fee Setup module. Then, when the user selects a Waste Type, the Unit Disposal Fee is completed automatically .
