Navigation

The Navigation section allows administrators to create a set of menus in the web. These allow users quick access to specific views and forms they use on a regular basis.

Note: Only forms that have the Allow on Menu/Favorites Form Option enabled can be added to a Menu.

Menus appear under the Menu tab in Lucity Web. They are made up of menu groups which then contain views or forms.

Click the Start Edit button.
Click the Create New Menu Group button at the bottom of the screen. A "New Group" listing will appear in the left-hand grid.
Right click on the "New Group" listing and then type a new name. This name will appear in Lucity Web in the Menus grid.
Use the up or down arrows to rearrange the menu groups. Any views/forms contained within the menu groups will also be moved.
Click Save when complete.
Note: To delete a menu group, click the Start Edit button. Then highlight a group listing and select the Delete Menu Group button. All views/forms within that menu group will be removed from the menu and added to the Views/Forms not assigned to menus grid.

The forms appear on the right-hand side of the Manage Form Menus dialog.

Click the Start Edit button.
To add a view or form to the menu, highlight a menu group in the left-hand Menus grid.
Then, highlight the view/form to add to the menu in the right-hand Views/Forms not assigned to menus grid.
- Names in red are disabled. These items can be assigned to menus but will not appear on the website until they have been enabled using the Form Options.
- If a form name does not appear in the list of available forms, it may need to be "allowed" on the menu. This option must be turned on for a forms using the Form Options.
Use the left arrow button to move the view/form to the Menus grid.
To rearrange the forms in the menu, use the up or down arrows.
To remove a form from a menu listing, use the right arrow button.
Click Save when changes are complete.
Note: Templates cannot be added to menus. All Templates must be copied before they can be used. For additional information on working with Templates, consult the Form Templates topics.


Tools
Menus	Displays the menu's that are currently setup within Lucity Web.
Module Selection Drop-downs	Selects a program, a module, and one of its components. This controls which views/forms are displayed in the grid.
Show All Views/Forms	Overrides the Module Selection Drop-downs and displays all un-assigned views and forms for every module.
Show Program Views/Forms	Displays all the View/Forms for all modules and components underneath the selected program in the first drop down.
Show only Timesheet forms	Overrides the Show all Views/Forms checkbox to only display the timesheet forms. The Show All Views/Forms box must be checked first.
Views/Forms not assigned to menus	A list of views and forms that are not currently assigned to a menu. Note: This will only show forms that have the Allow on Menu/Favorites Form Option enabled.
Refresh List	Refreshes the Views/Forms not assigned to menus grid.
	These buttons move views/forms back and forth between the Menus and Views/Forms not assigned grids.
	These buttons move a view/form in the Menus grid up and down within the menu that is being edited.
Delete Menu Group	Deletes the selected menu group from the Menus grid.
Create New Menu Group	Creates a new menu group in the Menus grid. After creating the menu click on it in the grid to rename it.
Start Edit	Allows users to edit the menu.
Save	Saves all edits to the menus and leaves edit mode.
Cancel	Cancels any edits made and leaves edit mode.
