The Limit List feature allows users to limit options available in a pick list on a specific form. This list is limited to selection of items.
Within Lucity there are two types of pick lists. There are standard pick lists based on a set list of options and there are pick lists for selecting assets that are based on selecting a module those assets are from first. Setting up a limit list for these two types is slightly different
Add a field that can be limited to the form. This includes Problem, Category, Affected Asset, etc.
In the Properties grid, click on the LimitList property and select True. The Limit List button will be enabled.
Click on the Limit List button to access the Limit List form. The Limit List selection grid will display the code and description for each item available. Highlight one or multiple selections from the left-hand grid and add them to the right-hand grid. The items added to the limit list will be the only ones accessible to the end-user when using the form on the web.
Note: This type of picklist field only shows up in the Work Order Assets form. Therefore this type of Limit List is only useful to create a Form where only one type of asset will be selected.
Add the Asset Rec # field to the form.
In the Properties grid, click in the Default Type property and choose which module the field will allow users to select assets from.
Then click on the LimitAsset property and select True. The Limit List button will be enabled.
