Introduction

The Lucity Services include the following:

Lucity Centralized Email Notifications Service

Processes Email Notifications that were created with Lucity and sends them out through email.

Lucity Mobile Desktop DB Post Service (Lucity_MP)

Posts Nightly Databases that the Lucity Field Laptops can use.

Lucity Mobile Desktop Synchronizer Service (Lucity_MM)

Watches for Lucity Field Laptops that are trying to sync.

Lucity PM Service (Lucity_PM)

Generates work orders based on PMs and performs varied other nightly recalculations of data within Lucity.

Lucity Request Generator

Collects emails sent to prearranged addresses and turns them into requests within the Lucity system.

Lucity Spatial Indexer

Collects geographic information about work order and request records and stores this information in the database for later use.

The Services application is required for all clients using: Equipment, Fleet, Work, Pavement Analysis, and Sewer.

Note: By default, the Automatic Startup option is enabled; so all of the services are started (so long as the user name and password supplied by the install user were correct) automatically. You can change this option to Manual by clicking on Start > Run and typing "Services.msc." To open the Windows Services console, right click on the service and select "Properties."
