This service runs on a regular schedule, at which time it checks for emails in the cue and sends them out to the specified recipient. Once this process is complete, the timer starts over and it will run again in the specified amount of time.
SQL Server and Oracle Users:
The email notifications are set up in the Lucity Administration under The User Interface > System > Settings > Email.
In the Email Settings you will be able to set up the following:
Days to keep data in email error log table
Disable the Centralized Email Server
From Address (Thank You Emails)
How often to process the email cache (in minutes)
Include a hyperlink to the web application in emails sent from the desktop software
SMTP Server
Text to include above the hyperlink in the email
The first line of the body of the email sent to citizens
The last line of the body of the email sent to citizens
Access Users:
Email Notifications are setup in the desktop application under Work>>Administration>>Server Email Settings.
In the Server Email Settings you will be able to set up the following:
SMTP Server
Sender Address
Note: If the email is being sent in a non-production environment, the following message will appear at the beginning of the email:
****THIS EMAIL COMES FROM A NON-PRODUCTION SYSTEM. PLEASE IGNORE THIS EMAIL.****
