Inspections

Commercial Sites allow user to track inspections where they checked on the storm water quality conditions. Each commercial site record has several fields that provide information about past inspections and help plan future inspections. Each record also has a grid of historical inspections.

Inspection Fields

These are fields found on the commercial site record that store information about inspections.

Last Inspection

The last date the site was inspected.

Automatically filled out from the Inspection Date field of the most recent inspection record.

Inspection Freq

The number of (date) units between inspections.

Inspection Freq Units

The type of date units between inspections.

Next Inspection

The date the next inspection should occur. This is calculated in one of two ways.

If the Inspection Freq and Inspection Freq Units fields are populated, the system will calculate this field automatically based on the Last Inspection date field.
If a user manually enters the Next Insp Date on the previous inspection.
If the Inspection Freq and Inspection Freq Units fields are filled out and the user fills out the Next Insp Date on the inspection the program uses whichever the closer date.
Example: An inspection was completed on 8/15/2014. The user filled out the Next Insp Date as 12/3/2014 but the calculated date is 8/15/2015. This field will display 12/3/2014.
Users can filter records by the Next Inspection Date to identify facilities that need to be inspected.

Condition

The condition of the site. Automatically filled out from the Condition field on the most recent inspection record.

Inspection Grid

This grid shows a list of related records from the Commercial Site Inspection module.

Open Record

Displays the record in a form view.

Open in another View

Select one or more records in the grid and click this button to open that record in a view from its original module. This function allows the user to view the relationships the record has with other modules.

Select the Inspection grid and click the button.
The Inspection form will open.
The Commercial ID field will already be filled out with the site record's ID.
Fill out the Inspection Start Date and Inspection Start Time. This is required.
Fill out the other fields as needed.
Click the button to save the inspection.
