Transaction Staging

The Transaction Staging module stores Parts data imported using Import and Update before committing the changes to the Inventory. This enables warehouse managers to review, edit, validate and finally post the import data into to the Parts Inventory.

Once the Transaction Staging records are imported you will need to run the Validate Imported Data and Post Adjustment toolkits in this module to push the entries into the Parts module.

The following Entered Transaction types are supported. Not other types of transactions will work:

Add
- Transaction Staging > Transaction Quantity must be greater than 0.
- Transaction Staging > Part Barcode must equal a Parts > Barcode
- Transaction Staging > Location Barcode must equal a Warehouses > Locations > Loc Barcode
- If the related Part > Cost Type is Average, the cost will come from Parts > Average Cost. Otherwise, the cost will come from Transaction Staging > Unit Cost which must be greater than 0.
Remove
- Transaction Staging > Transaction Quantity must be greater than 0.
- Transaction Staging > Part Barcode must equal a Parts > Barcode
- Transaction Staging > Location Barcode must be populated and equal a Warehouses > Locations > Loc Barcode
- Transaction Staging > Quantity Entered must be less than the Part > On Hand Quantity.
Count
- Transaction Staging > Transaction Quantity must be populated.
- Transaction Staging > Part Barcode must equal a Parts > Barcode
- Transaction Staging > Location Barcode must equal a Warehouses > Locations > Loc Barcode
- If the related Part > Cost Type is Average, the cost will come from Parts > Average Cost. Otherwise, the cost will come from Transaction Staging > Unit Cost which must be greater than 0.
Transfer
- Transaction Staging > Transaction Quantity must be greater than 0.
- Transaction Staging > Part Barcode must equal a Parts > Barcode
- Transaction Staging > Location Barcode and Location 2 Barcode must be populated and must equal two different Warehouses > Locations > Loc Barcodes
Receive PO
- Transaction Staging > PO Number must be defined and match a Purchase Order record.
- The Purchase Order must have a PO Detail record for the indicated Part record
- Transaction Staging > Transaction Quantity cannot be greater than the PO Detail > Quantity Remaining.
- Transaction Staging > Part Barcode must equal a Parts > Barcode.
- Transaction Staging > Location Barcode must equal a Warehouses > Locations > Loc Barcode

User Name	Identifies the person who is processing the data.
Reference	Denotes a tracking number for the part barcode being imported to inventory.
Date	Identifies the date that the parts are processed.
Description	Provides additional details about the part data that is being imported and updated.
Part Barcode	Provides the alpha-numeric string barcode that identifies the part being processed.
Location Barcode	Provides the alpha-numeric string barcode that identifies the warehouse location of the part being processed.
Processed	Indicates that the parts data was imported.
Validation Failed	Indicates that the process of importing the data did not work.
Process Error	Indicates that a mistake was made while processing data.
