Special Function: Types of Transactions

As work is done in the Parts system, various types of Transaction records are generated to track the history of what was done. The following are different types of Parts Transactions:

Description

Process that will create this transaction

Adjust Inventory Qty (+)

Occurs when the quantity of the part is adjusted positively.

  • Parts > Inventory grid > Toolkit
  • Warehouse > Locations > Parts grid > Toolkit

Adjust Inventory Qty (-)

Occurs when the quantity of the part is adjusted negatively.

  • Parts > Inventory grid > Toolkit
  • Warehouse > Locations > Parts grid > Toolkit

Issue Parts

Occurs when a part is issued to an employee or a Lucity asset.

Transfer Parts

Occurs when a part quantity is transferred from one warehouse location to another.

  • Warehouse Inventory > Warehouses > Toolkit

Disburse Parts

Removes quantity by using parts on Work Orders as material resources.

Return to Inventory

Parts are placed back in inventory when they are deleted, or units are decreased, from a Work Order.

Adjust Inventory Cost

Changes the cost per unit value of a single Part History record.

Loc Count Adj Qty (+)

Occurs when a count increases part quantity at a location.

Loc Count Adj Qty (-)

Occurs when a count decreases part quantity at a location.

  • Parts > Inventory grid > Toolkit
  • Warehouse > Locations > Parts > Toolkit

Loc Count - No Adjustment

Occurs when a count does not change the quantity at a location.

  • Parts Inventory > Inventory > Toolkit
  • Warehouse > Locations > Parts > Toolkit

Average Cost Adjustment

Adjusts the average cost for the part, as seen in the average cost field on the part record, and average cost columns in the Part History grid.

Manual Adj Qty On Hand

Changes the quantity on hand for the part only. It does not update Part Inventory, Part History or Transactions.

Manual Transaction Adj (+)

This is an increase in the transaction count to bring transactions in sync with the Part's On Hand Qty.

Manual Transaction Adj (-)

This is a decrease in the transaction count to bring transactions in syn with the Part's On Hand Qty.

Change Cost Method

This occurs when the cost method for the part is changed.
