Parts can be issued using toolkits in the Warehouse and Parts modules:

Method 1: Issue Parts from the Warehouse module

1. In the Warehouse Inventory > Warehouses module, click the to expand the desired Part Warehouse record.
2. In the Locations > Parts grid, select the Part record that you want to issue to an employee or asset within Lucity.
   • Part Quantity must be greater than 0 in order to run the toolkit.
3. Click the Toolkit in the Locations > Parts grid and select the Issue Parts | Selected Record tool.
   • Note: A Part marked as "Consumable" cannot be returned to Inventory once issued to an employee or a asset within Lucity.
4. Continue to Filling out the record (below).

Method 2: Issue Parts from the Parts module

1. In the Warehouse Inventory > Parts module, click the to expand the desired Parts record.
2. Select a Location in the Parts > Inventory grid.
3. Click the Toolkit in the Parts > Inventory grid and select the Issue Parts | Selected Record tool.
4. Continue to Filling out the record (below).

Filling out the record

1. The Part Number, Part Description, Location ID, Location Description and Max Quantity will be populated.
2. Use the Issue to - Module picklist to choose the module to which you want to issue the Part (required).
3. Use the Issue to - Record picklist to choose the asset to which you want to issue the Part (required).
4. Enter the Quantity to issue to he employee or asset within Lucity (required).
5. Enter the Date of the transfer (required).
6. Enter an Account Number if desired.
7. Click Ok.
   • The tool removes the quantity from the Location specified and adds that quantity to the Employee or record's module's Returnable Parts grid.
   • The Reference and Description are auto-populated but can be changed by the user.

1. Navigate to the module you are returning Parts from. For example, Employee Setup.
2. Click the to expand the record in that module that contains a Part that needs to be returned.
3. Select the Returnable Parts grid and select the part(s) that needs to be returned.
4. Click the Toolkit in the Returnable Parts grid and select the Return to Inventory | Selected Record tool. A pop-up similar to the following appears:

   

5. Enter the Quantity to return to Inventory (required).
6. Enter the Date of the transfer (required).
7. Enter the Time if desired.
8. Click OK. The Part record is returned.
   • The Current Quantity field for the record in the Returnable Parts grid will be updated to reflect the change.
   • A new Return to Inventory Transaction record is recorded in the Part record's Transactions grid.
