Storm Tools

The Work Orders > Assets grid Toolkit contains the following Storm tools, which are specific to Work Assets linked to Storm modules:

Add Storm Conduit by Alt ID

Allows users to quickly select multiple Storm Pipes from a pick-list and add them to a Work Order as Assets.

In the Work Orders module, click the to expand the desired Work Order record.
Click the Toolkit in the Assets grid and select the Storm > Add Storm Conduit by Alt ID tool. A picklist of Storm Pipe records similar to the following appears:
Select one or more Storm Pipes.
Click OK. The tool adds the selected Storm Pipe(s) to the Work Order's Assets grid and adds the linked Work Order to the Storm Pipe Inventory record's Work Orders grid.

Add Storm Pump Reading for Selected Record

Creates a Storm Pump Reading record for the selected Storm Pump, enabling a user to quickly record readings for the Work Order Asset (Pump) they are working on.

In the Work Orders module, click the to expand the desired Work Order record. The Work Order Category of this record must be linked to the Storm Pump module.
In the Assets grid, select a single Storm Pump record to which you want to add a reading.
Click the Toolkit in the Assets grid and select the Storm > Add Storm Pump Reading | Selected Record tool. The following pop-up appears:
The Date and Time are populated with the current date/time. Modify the values if desired.
Enter the Hourmeter reading (required) and Other Meter reading (optional).
Click OK. The system updates the Storm Pump record and creates a new record in the Storm Pump Readings module that is linked to the selected Storm Pump record.

Storm Stretch

Adds a stretch of Storm Pipe to a Work Order based on the upstream and downstream manholes the user selects. {Manholes the right term?]

In the Work Orders module, click the to expand the desired Work Order record.
Click the Toolkit in the Assets grid and select the Storm > Storm Stretch tool. The following pop-up appears:
The Category for Assets field is required and will be auto-populated.
Open the US Structure picklist and choose the upstream manhole. (This is required and must be unique.)
Click Select.
Open the DS Structure picklist and choose the downstream manhole. (This is required and must be unique.)
Click Select.
Enter the Maximum No. of Segments to Search (required). The system supplies a default value based on the Maximum # of Segments to Search Work Option; however, you can change this value.
Click OK. Starting at the US Structure the system goes from conduit to conduit selecting conduits until it has reach the DS Structure or selected the Maximum # of Segments.
