Sewer Tools

The Work Orders > Assets grid Toolkit contains the following Sewer tools, which are specific to Work Assets linked to Sewer modules:

Add Sewer Pipe by Alt ID

Allows users to quickly select multiple Sewer Pipes from a pick-list and add them to a Work Order as Assets.

In the Work Orders module, click the to expand the desired Work Order record.
Click the Toolkit in the Assets grid and select the Add Sewer Pipe by Alt ID tool. A pick-list of Sewer Pipe records appears:
Select one or more Sewer Pipes. (You can filter for a particular record using the fields at the top of each column.)
Click OK. The tool adds the selected Sewer Pipe(s) to the Work Order's Assets grid and adds the linked Work Order to the Sewer Pipe Inventory record's Work Orders grid.

Add Sewer Pump Reading | Selected Record

Creates a Sewer Pump Reading record for the selected Sewer Pump, enabling a user to quickly record readings for the Work Order Asset (Pump) they are working on.

In the Work Orders module, click the to expand the desired Work Order record. The Work Order Category of this record must be linked to the Sewer Pump module.
In the Assets grid, select a single Sewer Pump record to which you want to add a reading.
Click the Toolkit in the Assets grid and select the Add Sewer Pump Reading | Selected Record tool. The following pop-up appears:
The Date and Time fields automatically display the current date/time. Modify the values if desired.
Enter the Hourmeter reading (required) and Other Meter reading (optional).
Click OK. The system updates the Sewer Pump record and creates a new record in the Sewer Pump Readings module that is linked to the selected Sewer Pump record.

Create Sewer Overflow From Assets | Selected Record(s)

Creates a Sewer Overflow record for Sewer Pipes, Structures, or Service Laterals found in a Work Order's Asset grid.

In the Work Orders module, click the to expand the desired Work Order record.
In the Assets grid, select one or more Asset records for which you want to document a sewer overflow. (The Toolkit requires one selected record to run.)
Click the Toolkit in the Assets grid and select the Create Sewer Overflow From Assets | Selected Record(s) tool. A prompt asks the user to confirm the number of records that will be affected by the action:
Click Yes. The tool creates a record in the Sewer Overflow module and attaches the selected Pipe(s), Structure(s), and/or Service Lateral(s).

Sewer Stretch

Adds a stretch of Sewer Pipe to a Work Order based on the upstream and downstream sewer structures the user selects.

In the Work Orders module, click the to expand the desired Work Order record.
Click the Toolkit in the Assets grid and select the Sewer Stretch tool. The following pop-up appears:
The Category for Assets field is required and will be auto-populated; however, you can change this selection.
Open the US Structure picklist and choose the upstream manhole. (This is required and must be unique.)
Click Select.
Open the DS Structure picklist and choose the downstream manhole. (This is required and must be unique.)
Click Select.
Enter the Maximum No. of Segments to Search (required). The system supplies a default value based on the "Maximum # of Segments to Search" Work Option; however, the user can change this value.
Click OK. Starting at the US Structure the system goes from pipe to pipe selecting pipes until it has reach the DS Structure or selected the Maximum # of Segments.
