Click the to expand the PM/Template record that is marked as a Grouped PM record.
In the PM Groups grid, click the Toolkit and select the Add Group(s) and Existing Asset(s) toolkit. A pop-up similar to the following appears:
The first section "How would you like the new assets to be added?" is inactive because Grouped PMs do not allow you to select multiple assets.
Note: The system may display a selection for the option Create individual groups for all new assets. This reflects that Group PMs require you to create new Groups because only one asset is allowed per Group.
The second section New Group Start requires you to select how the system should number the Group(s) you are adding:
If no Groups exist yet, or if existing Groups are numbered consecutively, this option is inactive.
If existing Groups are not numbered consecutively, such as if a group was deleted, you are required to make a selection:
Fill in missing groups - Directs the system to reuse numbers for groups that were previously deleted. This option is only available when adding groups to pre-existing PM records that have gaps in the group numbers.
Start from last group - Directs the system to add new groups with a number 1 greater than the last group in the PM. This option is enabled by default.
The Existing Groups and Start New Group fields are inactive as they do not apply to Grouped PMs.
Select the Category that will be assigned to the Group. This will control which type of assets can be added to the Group in step 8, as well as other selections on the PM record.
Open the Select an Asset picklist to select one or more assets. The picklist options depend on the Category selected in step 7. A pop-up similar to the following appears:
Use CTRL + click to select one or more Assets from the list.
Click Select. The pop-up will close.
Click OK on the main tool.
The tool will add Group(s) to the PM Groups grid and Asset(s) to the PM Groups > PM Grouped Assets grid.

Add Group(s) and Existing Module Asset(s)
Adds Group(s) and Asset(s)to a Grouped or Grouped Asset PM. The name of this toolkit changes to match the module associated to the PM's Category. The toolkit will display Asset options only from the selected PM's Category.
For example, the toolkit displayed for a Fleet Work Order will be Add Groups and Existing Fleet Assets. The Asset options will come from the Fleet Inventory module.

Add New Group and First Asset
Adds a new Group to a PM/Template and an Asset to that Group's Grouped PM Asset grid.
Note: This toolkit works the same for both Grouped and Grouped Asset PMs.
Click to expand the desired PM record that is marked as a Grouped or Grouped Asset PM.
In the PM Groups grid click the Toolkit and select the Add New Group and First Asset tool. The PM Group Assets form opens.
The PM Group ID will auto-populate and cannot be changed. (This required field will be unique and indicates the identification number of the PM Group that will be created as a result of completing this toolkit.)
The Sequence No will auto-populate but can be changed (required).
The Category and Asset Type will auto-populate based on the Category indicated in the parent PM/Template record. This selection can be changed but is not recommended.
Select a System ID 1. This field is required and must be unique to this PM. Options in this picklist come from the selected Asset Type's related module.
The Description will auto-populate from the selected System ID 1 but can be edited.
Click Save . The new Group appears in the PM Groups grid and the new Asset appears in the PM Group's PM Grouped Assets grid.
Delete Group(s) and All Their Assets for Selected Record(s)
Deletes selected PM Groups(s) and all their Assets.
Click to expand the desired Grouped or Grouped AssetPM.
In the PM Groups grid click the Toolkit and select the Delete Group(s) and All Their Assets for Selected Record(s) tool. The system will ask you to confirm running the tool against selected record(s).
Click OK. The selected PM Group(s) and their Asset(s) are deleted from the PM Groups and Grouped PM Assets grids.
