The FOG Facilities Inspection module enables agencies to document inspections of a Sewer FOG facility. Such inspections are often required to determine whether:
facilities in the program are in compliance with FOG regulations;
best management practices are in place; or that
grease abatement systems are adequate, properly maintained and in operating condition.
Common Tasks
To open this module, select Environmental Compliance > Fats, Oils and Grease > Facilities > Inspection.
Method 1: Add an Inspection Record from the FOG Facility Module
In the FOG Facilities module, click the button to expand the FOG Facility record to which you want to add an inspection.
Select the Facility Inspection grid and click the button. The system creates a new Inspection record with the selected Facility's ID in the Facility Number field.

Method 2: Add an Inspection Record from the FOG Facility Inspections Module
Open the Fats, Oils, Grease > Facilities > Inspection module.
Click the button. A new record appears.
Enter or select a Facility Number (required).

Enter the Inspection Date (required).
The combination of Facility Number and Inspection Date must form a unique combination.
Complete other fields as desired.
Use the Maintenance Requested or Needs Repair field to automatically create a Request or Work Order for the site, if desired.
Click the button to save the record. The new Inspection record appears in the grid.
In the FOG Facility Inspection module, click the button to expand the Inspection record to which you want to add details.
Select the Inspection Details grid and either:
Click the button next to the desired grease extractor. The FOG Inspection Details form appears.
OR
Click the button in the toolbar. The grid switches to Edit mode.
Enter the grease depth measurement for the extractor inlet (Grease Depth 1) and the extractor outlet (Grease Depth 2).
Enter the deposition depth measurement for the extractor inlet (Deposition Depth 1) and the extractor outlet (Deposition Depth 2).
Enter the total fluid depth measurement for the extractor inlet (Total Fluid Depth 1) and the extractor outlet (Total Fluid Depth 2).
The system uses the values the user entered in Steps 3-5 above to calculate the Percent Full 1 and Percent Full 2 fields.
Then, it compares the Percent Full calculations to the pre-established % Full Violation values to determine whether the extractor inlet or outlet is in violation. If it is, the system automatically checks the corresponding Violation checkbox.
Assess the overall Condition of the equipment.
Complete other fields as desired.
Save and Close the record or exit Edit mode. The data now appears in the Inspection Details grid.
Click the button in the Inspection Checklist toolbar and select Populate Pass Code | Current Filter. The following prompt appears with a warning about how many records will be affected:
Click Yes. The following pop-up appears:
Select the Code you would like to apply to the Checklist Items in the grid.
Click OK. The system updates the Pass field on all of the Checklist Items in the filterset as directed.
