Material

To streamline the process of creating Work Orders or PMs, agencies can associate Materials that are typically used to complete a certain type of work with related Task Setup records. Then, when a user adds that Task to a Work Order's or PM/Template as a Sub Task, the Materials are added to the Work Order or PM, as well.

Note: If the Materials you wish to add are already in an existing Material Kit, you can add that Kit to the Task Setup record. Note, however, that Lucity does not copy the Materials in the Kit to the Task Setup record's Materials grid. Only when a user adds the Task to a Work Order as a Subtask will Lucity copy the Material Kit items to the Work Order's Materials grid.

Material grid

A Task Setup record's Materials grid lists supplies from the Material Setup module that are associated with the Task by default.

Alt Description

  • If this field is left blank and this Material is used on a Material Kit, the Kit's Account # value will populate to this field on a Work Order or PM record.

Proj No - Acct

Specifies the project number associated with the material's use on this task.

  • If this field is left blank and this Material is used on a Material Kit, the Kit's Proj No - Acct value will populate to this field on a Work Order or PM record.
