Lucity Authentication
Lucity/CS EAMauthentication is based on login and password that are set and stored within the software itself. All Lucity/CS EAM applications support this authentication method. Lucity/CS EAM has built-in password security features to maintain the integrity of your system.

If you would like the user to be forced to change their password next time they login check the User must change password at next logon box.
Length: A Lucity loginpassword must have at least one character; however, an agency may require a specific minimum/maximum number of characters.
Complexity: Depending on preferences configured in the Lucity Administration Tool, an agency may require that user passwords contain three of the following:
an uppercase letter,
a lowercase letter,
a number, or
a special character.
Frequency: Some agencies may require users to update their Lucity passwords after a designated number of days. In such cases, the system automatically prompts users to change their passwords.
Simple Passwords: User passwords may be denied because they:
consist of repeated values - 1111111, AAAAAA;
consist of a common sequence - 1234567, ABCDEFG;
supply user information - logon, first name, last name, email address; or
include one of these easily guessed passwords - password, qwerty, abc123, iloveyou, admin, letmein, qwertyio, football, baseball, welcome, 1qaz2wsx, dragon, master, monkey, login, princess, qwertyiop, passw0rd, p@ssword, p@ssw0rd, starwars, lucity, gba.
Click the username drop-down in the top-right corner of the screen and select Change Password. The following pop-up appears:
Enter the Current Password.
Enter the New Password and enter it again in the Confirm New Password field.
Check the Show Passwords box to view what you're typing.
Click OK. The password is changed.
Note: Click the View Password Requirements button to see the requirements set by the system administrator.
Windows Authentication
This type of authentication is based on a Lucity Login that is linked to a windows account. When you login to Lucity the system checks to see which windows user is logged in. If that user is tied to a Lucity Login the system automatically logs the user is using that Lucity Login.
To use the Windows Authentication portal for the Lucity Web and Lucity desktop applications, go to Security>Users/Groups Setup.
Select a user from the Users grid.
Click . The User Information dialog appears:
Select Add and enter the user's Windows account.
Click OK.
Click OK at the bottom of the User Information dialog.
ArcGIS Authentication
This type of authentication is based on a Lucity Login that is linked to an ArcGIS account. When you choose to login with this authentication you are directed to an ArcGIS Login screen. Once you login there you are redirected to Lucity which automatically logs you in using the linked Lucity Login.
Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) authentication uses a third-party identity provider to authenticate the user. This option is useful for agencies that cannot use Microsoft Windows authentication.
When you log into Lucity/CS EAM using this method, you are directed to a third-party website. Once you provide credentials there, you are redirected back to Lucity/CS EAM and automatically logged into the application.
