The Parent grid is a read-only, relationship grid. It displays any pieces of equipment to which this item has been attached. In other words, this grid will only be filled if the current equipment record is listed as a dependent in another equipment record (using the Dependents grid).
Note: The Parent's operating status affects the status of the dependent. For example, if a parent's status is out of service, all dependents' statuses will also be out of service.
