Fleet Parts/Components Grid

To associate parts/materials, complete the following steps:

  1. Right click in the Fleet Parts grid and select Add Record. The following window will appear:

  2. Select a component from the pick list. This defines how the component is related to the vehicle (i.e. base unit, auxiliary equipment, etc.) 

    Note:  This is required in order to save the record.

  3. Enter the description of the component in the field provided.
  4. Select a Manufacturer form the pick list. This is a shared field.
  5. Record additional details about the component as needed. These include specifications, quantity, model, serial number, year, and status.
  6. Enter the Installation Date and Inactive Date, if such applies
  7. The Warranties grid allows you to view any warranties listed for this component.  

    Note:  You cannot add warranties to this grid.  To add a warranty to a component or sub-component record, highlight the appropriate record, then right-click and select Create Warranty Record.  The Warranty module will open.  For additional information on the Warranty module, please reference the Warranty help guide.

  8. Enter any additional comments in the text field at the bottom of the screen. To enter comments, simply place your cursor in the grid and begin typing.
  9. Click to save the record.
  10. Click to escape Add Mode.
  11. Click to close the window.

To view, edit, or delete a component record, right click on the record and select View Record, Edit Record, or Delete Record.
