Fast Apply

Starting with version 6.71 SP4, an extra option was added to this batch editing process.  It is a new button at the bottom of the form called "Fast Apply".

Fast Apply allows changes to be made to the geodatabase without these changes synchronizing to the desktop when the edits are saved.  This function should only be used in conjunction with the Lucity Global Edit function, and allows for rapid change of many attributes at a time without an extended synchronization time when you save edits.

Only use this option if you meet one of these criterion:

  1. The data is currently wrong in the geodatabase, but is correct in the desktop.
  2. It is going to be applied to ALL features in the map, and can therefore be applied to all features in the desktop using the global edit against "All Records".
  3. This tool is being applied to a selection of records that were selected using an attribute query, and the same filter can be applied in the desktop so that a global edit against "Current Filter" may be performed.

Recommended: Before using this button, you should review the Lucity™ manual global editing information to make sure that you will be able to make the appropriate global edits.  If you are not confident that you will be able to perform the global edit to update the necessary records, use the "Apply" button instead.
