The Share with Others function enables users to share a form with another Lucity user via a link. This function can be used to share either a blank form or a specific record. Copy the link to share a form using methods such as email or dashboard link. More information about creating URL dashboard plugins.
To share a specific record, complete the desired fields and select Save .
In the form, select the Menu button and select Share with Others .
Note: You must select Share with Others from the form's Menu. This button functions differently from a view.
The following dialog appears:
The Dataset Name displays the unique ID for the record you are sharing. If you are sharing a blank record, the Dataset Name will be 0.
Select Copy.
Note: A message may appear asking if the program can access the clipboard. If such a message appears, select Yes.
Paste this link into a Notepad note, Microsoft Word document, email message or other form of communication with another Lucity user. A user can enter this link into a web browser to access this shared Form.
Note: The Lucity application tab that opens from a shared form link will display the form type and "0" for blank forms or the unique ID for specific records.
From a URL link:
Paste the shared Form URL into your web browser's address bar in a new window or tab.
Press Enter on your keyboard. *This action may vary depending on your device or browser.
The browser page displays the message Routing In Progress. When routing is complete, your browser opens the Lucity Form:
If you have Lucity open in another browser or browser tab:
The page will display the message Routing Successful - You can close this window at any time.
Return to the open browser tab containing your current version and session of Lucity. The shared Form is now open in a new Lucity tab.
If you do not have Lucity open in another browser or browser tab:
The browser tab on which you entered the URL opens the shared Form in the Lucity application.
From a URL link used as a dashboard plugin:
From the Lucity dashboard, click a link to a form. The form opens for editing.
