Enables you to enter the dates the Material Kit and (and by association the materials within it) were used. The Toolkit also allows you to define the Material Kit units used. This will automatically update the units in the material resources tied to the Material Kit. When a Work Order Task is saved, you will be prompted to select the physical warehouse or inventory location to pull each resource from if any of the materials in the kit exist in multiple quantities and locations.
In the Work Orders> Tasks >Material Kits grid, select the Material Kit record(s) to which you want add dates and units.
Click the button in the Material Kits grid and select the Populate Dates and Units | Selected Record(s) tool. The following pop-up appears:
Enter the Res Start Date and Res End Date.
Enter the Res Start Time and Res End Time.
Enter the amount of the material used in the Units field.
Click OK. The Toolkit overwrites any existing values in the corresponding Date/Time/Units fields in the selected Material Kit record(s).
Important: This Toolkit will not run if one of the Materials in the selected Material Kits has the Processed by Financials option enabled on its Material Setup record.
If the part is only stored in one location the system will begin to check quantities. Go to Step C
If the part is stored in multiple Warehouse Locations the following pop-up will appear:
Click Distribute the following pop-up will appear:
Enter the desired quantities from the desired locations. The Quantity Selected fields must total the quantity of part(s) listed at the top of the pop-up. (The example above lists "5" Front Brake Rotors.). Once all the part have been accounted for, click Distribute. Go to Step C.
The system checks the requested number of Units versus the Warehouse Location's Units for the Part.
If there are no problems with disbursing the request quantity, the parts will be disbursed and the tool will close.
If there are issues with the material quantities, the following message will appear::
Click Dismiss to go back to the tool and change the requested number of units to match the number available or cancel the toolkit.
Split Kit | Selected Record(s)
Ungroups the Material records in the selected Material Kit(s). This separation allows you to edit and/or delete individual Material Resources that were added to the Work Order as part of a Material Kit.
Note: This Toolkit only splits the Material Kit as it applies to this Task on this Work Order. The Toolkit does not alter the related Material Kit Setup record in any way.
