Lucity's Parts module tracks inventories, order information, transaction history, costs and current status of each Part listed. Parts can be linked to Work Flow Setup Materials and Fluids. Then, when Materials/Fluids are used on Work Orders, these items are automatically deducted from the Parts Inventory, keeping the inventory up-to-date.
Common Tasks
To open thismodule, select Warehouse Inventory > Parts.
Select the Unit of Measure for the part number (required).
Set a Reorder Point to tell the system when the On Hand Quantity is too low.
Set a Reorder Amount to indicate how many parts should be ordered when the On Hand Quantity falls below the Reorder Point.
Select the Cost Method for the part (required). This field represents the accounting method that will be used for the part . More information about Cost Methods.
Enter other fields as desired.
Click Save . The new record now appears in the Parts grid.
In the Part's Inventory grid there will be a Warehouse Location for Default Location assigned in step 4.
If the Material Code or Fluid Code entered in step 5 does not exist, a record is created in the related Work Flow Setup module and is linked to the Part record. When you open the Material or Fluid record, you will see that the Active Material box is selected and the Unit of Measure is filled out.
