The PM Asset Filter enables you to use a filter from an Inventory module to dynamically add Assets to a Work Order generated from a PM. The grid can contain multiple filter strings, with the potential to pull in Assets from several modules. It is also possible to use the PM Asset grid to add Assets manually and use the PM Asset Filter grid to add them dynamically.
Example
You are creating a PM for a drainage basin. You could list all of the pipes individually in the Assets grid; however, it would be difficult to keep this list updated as pipes are added and removed from the basin. It would be easier to use a filter created in the Pipe Inventory module.
PM Asset Filter grid
The PM Asset Filter grid stores a list of filter strings that will load Assets on the Work Order when it is created.
