A Work Order record can be linked to Requests—a feature that allows agencies to track the history of a Request from the documentation of the issue to the completion of the work.
A Work Order's Requests grid lists any records from the Requests module that are associated with it, such as the Request that generated the Work Order (if applicable) or any Request a user might have linked to the Work Order manually.
In the Work Orders module, select the Work Order that you would like to associate with a Request.
In the Work Order's Requests grid, click the button. A list of existing Request records appears:
Choose a Request from the list and click Select. The system links the Work Order to the Request, as well as to all Work Orders and Requests already associated with that Request. These records now appear in the selected Work Order record's associated Requests and Work Orders grids.
In the Work Orders module, click the button to expand the Work Order that bears a link to the Request you'd like to remove.
In the record's Requests grid, select the Request(s) you wish to disassociate from all linkedWork Orders andRequests.
Click the button and select the Disassociate from all Work Orders and Requests | Selected Records tool. The following pop-up appears, warning the user of the consequences of the action:
Click Yes. The tool runs, removing the selected Request's link to allWork Orders and Requests with which was associated. Note that the Work Order selected in Step 1 is still associated with any other Work Orders and Requests that this Toolkit was not applied to.
