To streamline the process of creating Work Orders or PMs, agencies can associate agencies who commonly serve as contractors for a certain type of work with related Task Setup records. Then, when a user adds that Task to a Work Order's or PM/Template as a Sub Task, the Contractors are added to the Work Order or PM, as well.
Contractor Grid
A Task Setup record's Contractors grid lists people from the Contractor Setup module with whom the agency contracts to complete the Task by default.
In the Work > Administration > Work Flow Setup > Task Setup module, click the button to expand the Task record to which you want to add a contractor.
Select the Contractor grid and click the button. The Contractor form appears.
Use the Resource pick-list to select a contractor. (Required.) The options in this pick-list come from the Work > Administration > Work Flow Setup > Contractor Setup module.
Click Select.
Provide an Alt Description, if desired.
Enter the Account # and Proj No - Acct that should be applied when using this contractor for this task.
Enter a Group Number if the contractor should always be associated with other resources on the task..
Enter the Unit of Measure that should be applied to this contractor's work on this task.
Enter the Units field to indicate how much work the contractor will do based on the Unit of Measure. Alternatively, use the Units Est field if you are estimating resource units.
Click the button to save the record. The new item now appears in the Task Setup record's Contractor grid.
In the Work > Administration > Work Flow Setup > Task Setup module, click the to expand the Task record to which you want to add contractors.
In the Contractor grid, click the Toolkit and select Add Multiple Contractors. The following pop-up opens:
Open the Contractors pick-list. A list from the Work > Administration > Work Flow Setup > Contractor Setup module similar to the following opens:
Use CTRL + click to select one or more Contractors.
Click Select.
Provide the number of Units of contractor work that will be used to accomplish the task.
Click the OK to save the record. The selected items now appear in the Task Setup record's Contractor grid.

Resource**
Identifies a contractor by its unique code and description. Records in this pick-list come from the Work > Administration > Work Flow Setup > Contractor Setup module.
Alt Description
Enables users to use another form of identification for the contractor.
Account #
Specifies the account number associated with the contractor's work on this task.
Proj No - Acct
Specifies the project number associated with the contractor's work on this task.
Group No
Shows which resources are related to each other within the task.
Often used to group an employee with a specific piece of equipment or with materials that he or she is authorized to use but may be used to group other resources.
Unit of Measure
Specifies how the contractor's work is measured for this task.
Units
Sets the expected number of units of the contractor's work that will be used to complete the work. The Unit of Measure field indicates what type of unit the work is measured in.
This is used in the Work Order > Task > Contractor > Units field.
Units Est
Sets the total number of contractor units that may be used on the task.
