Water Service Tap Header Data

At the top of the module window you will see header data. This data remains at the top of your screen as you use the tabs to navigate through the record. The header fields are described in the table below:

Field Name

Definition

Service Tap No.

This field allows you to enter a unique, alphanumeric identifier for the service tap.

Note: If the "Populate Service Tap ID w/Acct No. and Tap No." option (in Water Options) is turned on, this field will be automatically populated with the account number and tap number you enter. For example, if you enter 444 for an account number and 2 for the tap number, the service tap ID will be 444-2

Service Tap Rec #

This field contains a number automatically generated by the system.

Account Number

Tap Number

These two fields are only required if the "Populate Service Tap ID w/Acct No. and Tap No." option is turned on.

Property ID Tag

This field allows you to specify which property from the Customer Address module is associated with the service tap. Click on the field caption button or press F9 to access the pick list.

Note: Linking records in this manner creates two types of relationships from the Customer Address record: (1) By Property ID, and (2) By Address. These can be viewed by using the Relationship button in the Customer Address record.

Building No.

Apt. Number

You can manually enter an address in these fields if you are not using Property IDs. If using Property IDs, these fields will be disabled and will be automatically populated by the system with the corresponding address information from the Customer Address module.

Note: If you enter an address found in the Customer Address module, the Relationship button in the associated Customer Address record will display a relationship "By Address". If you enter an address that is not found in the Customer Address module, no Relationship will be created.

Tap Size

This field allows you to indicate the service tap size, in inches.

Note: The Service Tap Number is required in order to save the record.
