General Tab

This tab allows users to record basic information about the Master Project.  Here, they can indicate a project type, internal Project Manager (PM), and contractors. Account # and Project No-Acct fields are provided to link to Eden account numbers. They can also record the project status. The status date/time will be updated by the system whenever the Status field is changed.

Field/Column Name

Special Functions

Program Rec #

This stores the related Program record number. Click on the field description or hit F9 to bring up a list of Programs to link the project to.

Project Type

A user-defined field to specify the project type. This is shared with the Program module

Contractor

Links to the Work Flow Setup > Contractors module. Note: The Contractor record must have the Project Contractor box checked.

Contractor 2

Links to the Work Flow Setup > Contractors module. Note: The Contractor record must have the Project Contractor box checked.

Department

Specifies the primary department working on this Master Project. Shared with all work modules

Internal PM *

Internal Project Manager. Links to the Work Flow Setup > Employees module. Note: The Employee record must have the Project PM box checked.

External PM *

External Project Manager. Links to the Work Flow Setup > Employees module. Note: The Employee record must have the Project PM box checked.

Inspector *

The person in charge of regularly inspecting the work done on the master project. Links to the Work Flow Setup > Employees module.

Status

States the master project's status.

Status Date

Automatically updates when the status is changed

Route

A spot to list streets that are affected by the project, for filtering purposes.

* Changes to these fields are tracked on the Employee Change Tracking tab when the record is saved.

Note: In addition, any changes to the Status text and new Status Dates will be automatically added to the Project Activities grid.
