Threshold Library

The Threshold Library module is used to establish the limits or parameters that an equipment test should fall within. These libraries can be loaded directly into an Equipment Inspection. The module consists of a Threshold Name field and a grid listing the group of thresholds.

Note: To view an explanation of any field, Ctrl + right click in that field.

To access the Threshold Library module, select Plant/Equipment > Threshold Library. The following window appears:

The grid in the Threshold Library stores a list of parameters that are checked during an inspection and the fields in the Equipment Inspection record in which the related results are stored. Users can add records to the list manually or load items from another list template from this module.

A sample of the Threshold Library grid appears below. Sort records in the grid by clicking on the headings. An up or down arrow (highlighted in orange below) indicates whether data appear in ascending or descending order.

Right-click in the grid and select Add Record. The following window will appear:
Enter a name for the list in the Name field.
In the Field field, specify which field in the Equipment Inspection module the threshold is measured against.
- Click the field caption or press F9 for a list of fields from the Equipment Inspection module.
Enter a Low and High threshold.
If you want the system to send a notification when the parameter falls outside the thresholds, select a notification in the Notification Label field.
- Click the field caption or press F9 for a list of email templates from the Notification Setup module.
Save and close the record.

Right-click in the grid and select Load Threshold List. The following window appears and displays a list of other threshold lists from this module:
Click on the desired list and click Select.
The list is loaded into the grid.
