Alternatively, you can input the data by hand. To do so, complete the steps below to create a unique street segment in the header:
You will first need to add records to the Street Name List for the Street Name, From Street, and To Street. For additional information on using the General module and adding records, please see the Street Name List help guide.
Next, enter the previously defined Street Name into the header field and assign a unique segment ID.
Enter the previously defined From Street and To Street into the fields provided in the header.
In the Intersection Network, create a record for each intersection segment (for example, one record will be need for the From Street to the Street Name; a second record will be needed for the To Street to the Street Name).
For each record, create a unique Node ID.
Enter the street information into the Street Intersection Name fields.
Use the Leg Assign function to create directions for each segment in the intersection. For additional information on the Intersection Network and using the Leg Assign function, please click on the hyperlink to reference the help guide.
Once the intersections are defined in the Intersection Network, the Node IDs will be automatically filled in the Segment Network header fields.
Now that a unique segment has been created in this module, you can enter the attribute information by hand using the tabs defined below.
