Status

Each fleet vehicle stores information about it's current status as well as historical status. This allows you to not only see what vehicles are available to use, but also allows you to see how a vehicle his performing over time.

Status Related Fields

These are fields on the fleet record that have to do with the assets operational status.

Operating Status

Indicates the status of the asset (e.g., operational, out-of-service, sold).

Note: Any record with a status code above 950 is considered out of service. Anything below 950 is considered operational. No PMs can be generated for nonoperational vehicles (those with a status greater than 950).

MTBF

The Mean Time Between Failure. Automatically calculated to display the Mean Time Between Failure. This is calculated by:

Adding the Units Since Failure fields from the Status grid records.
Dividing the sum by the number of Units Since Failure fields that were actually filled out (not by the total number of equipment status records).

Manuf MTBF

Enter the manufacturer's expected Mean Time Between Failure. This allows an agency to determine whether the vehicle needs to be replaced because it is failing more often than expected.

Status Grid

The Status grid logs the status or availability of the vehicle.

Records can be added to this grid manually or,
Records can be added to this grid automatically based on changes to the Operating Status field.

Status Record Fields

These are fields on the status record that have special functions.

Date	The date an time that the status changed.
Units Since Failure	Enter how long it has been since the unit last failed. When a value is entered in this field, the system will sum these values and divide them by a count of all records where the value is greater than 0. This will provide the average. This will be entered in the MTBF field.
