Filter

Filters help users narrow down the amount of records they are viewing. The Filter tool Android Screenshotenables users to create and load filters.

The Filter tool consists of two tabs:

Existing Tab

The Existing filters tab shows a list of previously saved filters and allows users to add, edit, and delete filters.

For each filter, the program lists the person who created it, the name of the filter, and whether or not the filter is "advanced." The following functions are found at the bottom of the tab:

 

My Filters Only

When checked, displays only those filters created by the current user. Uncheck the box to show all saved filters for this module.

count

Count

Provides a pop-up showing the number of records the currently selected filter will load.

Delete a Filter

Deletes the currently selected filter.

rename filter

Rename a Filter

Provides a pop-up to rename the currently selected filter.

copy filter

Copy Filter

Opens a copy of the currently selected filter in the Edit Filter screen, enabling the user to edit, and save or run the filter.

Copy Filter to Multiple Users

Creates copies of a selected filter for multiple users. Individual users can edit their copy.

Opens the currently selected filter in the Edit screen and lets users modify the filter.

Opens a blank Build-A-Filter screen.

 

Applied Tab

The Applied filters tab shows information about the view's original filter and the currently applied filter.

Original Filter

Shows the filter that has been set by the system admin for this view.

Note: Most views have a default filter. This is designed to remove records that a user does not need to see or do not apply to the purpose of the specific view. For example, a view in the Work Order module may, by default, use a filter to display only open Work Orders for the Streets department.

Total Records

Displays the number of records found using the Original Filter.

Apply Original

Applies the original filter to the module, returning it to its default state.

Applied Filter

Indicates the filter that is currently applied to the module.

Note: This filter does NOT include the column filters.

Total Records

Displays the number of records found using the Applied Filter.

Total Records with Column Filters

Displays the number of records found using the Applied Filter and the column filters.

Clear Applied

Clears the Applied Filter.

Edit Applied

Opens the Applied Filter in an Edit Filter window.
