Filters help users narrow down the amount of records they are viewing. The Filter tool enables users to create and load filters.
The Filter tool consists of two tabs:
Existing Tab
The Existing filters tab shows a list of previously saved filters and allows users to add, edit, and delete filters.
For each filter, the program lists the person who created it, the name of the filter, and whether or not the filter is "advanced." The following functions are found at the bottom of the tab:
|
My Filters Only |
When checked, displays only those filters created by the current user. Uncheck the box to show all saved filters for this module. |
Count |
Provides a pop-up showing the number of records the currently selected filter will load. |
|
Delete a Filter |
Deletes the currently selected filter. |
|
Rename a Filter |

|
Copy Filter |

Applied Tab
The Applied filters tab shows information about the view's original filter and the currently applied filter.
Original Filter |
Shows the filter that has been set by the system admin for this view. Note: Most views have a default filter. This is designed to remove records that a user does not need to see or do not apply to the purpose of the specific view. For example, a view in the Work Order module may, by default, use a filter to display only open Work Orders for the Streets department. |
Total Records |
Displays the number of records found using the Original Filter. |
Apply Original |
Applies the original filter to the module, returning it to its default state. |
Applied Filter |
Indicates the filter that is currently applied to the module. Note: This filter does NOT include the column filters. |
Total Records |
Displays the number of records found using the Applied Filter. |
Total Records with Column Filters |
Displays the number of records found using the Applied Filter and the column filters. |
Clear Applied |
Clears the Applied Filter. |
Edit Applied |
Opens the Applied Filter in an Edit Filter window. |
