Sewer FOG Notifications

The Sewer FOG Facilities module offers a notification feature that streamlines the process of sending e-mail messages to facilities that are part of the FOG program. Agencies may use these messages to send out reminders about necessary tests, due dates for maintenance logs, or required corrective actions.

The email will go to every recipient in the email template's recipient list as well as the email address in either the Contact Email or Owner Email field (depending on the toolkit function used) for each Facility in the current filterset.

FOG/IPT Notification emails aren't triggered automatically. They are sent using the "Send Contact Email Notification for Filterset" or "Send Owner Email Notification for Filterset" functions found in the corresponding Facility Inventory Toolkit.

Note: The Contact Email and Owner Email field on the Contacts tab MUST be filled out for the corresponding notification to be sent.

Notification templates are created in the General > Notification Setup module. When the FOG/IPT Facility Inventory toolkit functions are used, the user selects which template to use.

How To Setup Notifications

Create an e-mail template in the General > Notification Setup (Notification Setup, http://help.lucity.com/webhelp/v155/desktop/index.htm#22846.htm) module. The notification template must have the following values:

After creating the notification template, go to Sewer > Environmental Compliance > Fats Oils Grease > Facilities > Facilities.

Setup a filter of FOG Facility records to identify the facilities to which to send the e-mail.

On the Contacts tab, confirm that the Contact Email and/or Owner Email field contains the necessary e-mail address.

Select the

button on the toolbar. The following dialog box will appear:

Send Contact Email Notification for Filterset: Sends the notifications to the primary contacts for all facilities in the filterset.
Send Owner Email Notification for Filterset: Sends the notification to the owners of all facilities in the filterset.

Click

. The following screen will appear:

Click the Email Notif # button and select the notification to send.

Note: Only notification templates with the Notification Module field set to "Sewer FOG Facilities" will appear in this list.

and the notification will be sent.
