Setup Tab

The Setup tab provides detailed information about the category selected in the category tree.

Field

Function

Parent Category

Indicates the category that the current category is nested under

Category

The user-defined code and description for the category.

Classification

Indicates whether the Category is a general classification of work or is tied to a specific inventory within Lucity.

Common Name

Indicates which inventory is associated with the Category when the Classification is set to Inventory Items.

UOM Type

Indicates how work is counted when this category is used.

  • Count - Used when work is measured by individual objects. Example: Crew A worked on five sewer structures today.
  • Sum - Used when work is measured in sections of an Asset based on one of the Asset's attributes. Example: Crew A worked on five sewer pipes or 426 feet of sewer pipe today.

UOM Field

Indicates which field in the Asset Inventory module the system should add together when the UOM Type is Sum.

Unit of Measure

The unit of measure used for this type of work.

Account #

The financial account linked to the Work Flow category.

Proj No - Acct

A project number linked to the Work Flow category.

Department

Division

Sub-Division

Area

Sub-Area

The entity (department, division, etc.) responsible for this work. When a user creates a Work Order or Request and selects the Category, the system automatically imports this information into the record.

Requires Asset to Close WO

When enabled and the Category is used on a work order an asset with the same category must be added to the work order before the work order can be closed.

Requires Employee Time to Close WO

When enabled and the Category is used on a work order all employees attached as Resources must have their time filled out before.

Request WO Creation Shows Templates

Enable this to modify how work orders are created from requests. If the Category is used on a work request and a work order is created from the request a pop-up will appear prompting the user to select a Work Template to use.

Setup Tab

Displays information about the category selected in the Category Tree.

Save

Saves edits to the Category currently displayed on the tab.

 

save_and_add_32

Save and Add Another

Saves edits to the Category currently displayed in the tab and then adds a new category.

 

cancel

Cancel

Cancels all edits.
