Work Order Fields
The following fields on the asset are related to work orders.
Default WO Cat * |
Enables users to set up a default category for the asset. When a work order is created for the asset, the default category and related asset information are imported into the new work order record. Multiple categories are available in the pick list. |
No WO/PM/REQ * |
When this checkbox is marked for an asset users cannot create Work Orders, PMs, and Requests for that asset., and users cannot create such items for the current asset inventory record. The asset also no longer appears in the selection dialog boxes for the WO/PM/Request modules. This function may be used for assets that are in the system, but have been abandoned or are no longer used. |
Maintenance Zone |
Allows you to group your assets based on a location. This is carried over to the work order and can be used there to automatically assign the supervisor. This field is most easily populated from GIS. |
Alternate Zone |
Allows you to group your assets based on another location grouping. This is carried over to the work order This field is most easily populated from GIS. |

Work Order Record Grid
Each inventory record can show a grid of related work order records from the Work Order module.
Use the following tools to interact with these related records.
Open Record |
Click this button to open a form view of the record. |

Open in another View |
Select one or more records in the grid and click this button to open those records in another view. This shifts the program to look at the related module. Doing this allows users to see further relationships. |
