How to Manually Force a Synch

You can force the system to synchronize more than once if necessary. For example, if you receive an error and you have verified that the field data was not imported into the office yet the status (in the status tab of the Mobile Desktop Setup module) no longer says 'Waiting to Process,' you may want to force the database to synch again.

Note: It is crucial that you verify that the first synch was unsuccessful, because any records that were already imported will be duplicated in the office upon synching again.

To force data to synchronize again, open the GBAComm database, open the CMSYNSTAT table, and find the synch record that failed.  Then change the status of that record (in the ST PSTATUS field) back to “Waiting to Process.”  This will cause the server to pick up the database again and reprocess it.

Note: You may need to reference the CMSYNCH table to find the laptop record WS ID to cross reference with the ST WS ID to find the appropriate status record in the CMSYNSTAT table.
