This tool allows users to add more information to the map on they fly. This data only appears for that user, and it only is displayed for this viewer session. If the viewer is closed and reopened, they must add the data back.
This data either has to be in a map package, or online map service. The gis viewer doesn't support adding stand-alone feature classes, or shape files.
How To Add Data
Click the Add Service or Map Package button. The following popup will appear:
Select the type of data that will be imported
In the next field down provide the location of the data.
If it is a web service enter the service url.
If it is a map package enter the location, or click the ... button to navigate to and select the package.
Click OK. A popup will appear letting the user know if it was successful.
