The Structure Cover tab features four code-description grids: Cover Type, Cover Fit, Ponding, and Inflow Dish. These grids house the code-descriptions and flow rate factors for water infiltration at sewer structures. Within this tab, you can add a new code-description to the list with custom ratings or modify an existing one.
Note: Some users may not have rights to add to or edit this list. See your system administrator for details.
The Flow Rate grid (circled in red below) is the only grid that does not feature code-descriptions. The total amount of water infiltration at a given structure (Total Cover GPM) is derived using the following formula:
Total Cover GPM = (Cover GPM x Cover Type Factor x Cover Fit Factor x Ponding Factor x Inflow Dish Factor) + (Flow Rate x Number of Holes in Cover)
Click Edit. An input window for that code-description opens:
Enter a new description.
Click OK. The code-description is updated in the existing list.
Select the edited code-description from the list and click Select. The Add window reappears, and your custom code-description is displayed.
Note: Here, the user may edit the flow rate factor. When a rating is edited, the change only affects data from that point on; that is, past data will not be modified unless the user runs the "Recalc All" option (under System Tools).
Right-click on the record to edit and select Edit Record. A window similar to the following will appear:
Make rating changes in the Flow Rate Factor field.
Save and Close the record.
Note: When a rating is edited, the change only affects data from that point on; that is, past data will not be modified unless the user runs the "Recalc All" option (under System Tools).
