Observations Tab

The Observations tab stores your pipe inspection observations, such as defect, location, rating, and other user-defined inspection observations.

To add an observation record, complete the following steps:

1. Right-click in the grid and select Add Record. The following window will appear:

   

   Note: The Observation # field is auto-populated with a sequential number.

2. Enter the distance, in feet, along the length of the pipe where the obstruction was observed.
3. Indicate the type and location of the defect found.
4. Provide an overall rating for the defect.
5. Use the Structure # field to assign a structure rating to the pipe observation record. This number is then used to calculate the Total Structure # in the Inspection Setup tab.
6. Enter additional comments in the grid at the bottom of the window.
7. Click to save the record.
8. Click to close the window.
