Grouping Assets

This allows you to create one work order for a series of assets.  This feature is useful if you have a group of assets that all need maintenance work at the same time.  Follow the steps below to group your assets.

Note:  In order to group assets together, the Grouped Assets checkbox in the header must be marked.

  1. While in Edit mode, hold down the shift key and highlight all assets you wish to group.
  2. Right-click on the highlighted assets and select Group Assets.
  3. All highlighted assets will be given the lowest available sequential number as the PM Group ID. You can edit this number if desired.
  4. Click to save your changes.

Note: To add or remove an asset from an existing group, edit the asset record in the grid and enter the appropriate PM Group ID in the field provided. This allows you to change the assets in the group without affecting the group's schedule.
